"St. Louis Steamers vs. NY Arrows, 1981-82 MISL Finals, Game 2 (5/16/82)"
From Tim Hanlon
If you were to put the MISL (Major Indoor Soccer League) in the category of a major sports league in America, then the New York Arrows have to be the least popular of any major, American, sports franchise in America. They won the first 4 MISL championships from 1979-82 and struggled to draw 5 thousand fans a game at and arena that drew over 16 thousand for soccer and the same arena where the Long Island Islanders (as I call them) played. Professional indoor soccer has never been marketed well in the New York area.
